Between the Lions was an American children's television series designed to promote reading. It originally aired on PBS from April 3, 2000 to November 22, 2010 and continued airing reruns until 2011. The show was a co-production between WGBH Kids in Boston and Sirius Thinking, Ltd. in New York City, in association with Mississippi Public Broadcasting in Mississippi. The total spanned 130 Episodes from 10 seasons. The show has won seven Daytime Emmy awards between 2001 and 2007. The target audience is children 5-8 years old. On July 7, 2012, it was revealed the show was going be one of PBS Kids Sprout's first shows, but it was replaced by Boohbah in June 20, 2005 and did not air on PBS Kids Sprout.

Plot[]
It focuses on a family of lions who run a library (Busterfield Library) and their experiences in it. As the show is designed to help children learn about reading, it not only uses a variety of segments, but also features popular storybooks, folktales, and myths.
